Adegga WineMarket moves to Marvila with 6 Chefs, 500 wines and many news

The Adegga WineMarket Lisbon comes to Marvila on December 1st, with 70 winemakers, 500 wines, 6 Chefs and many news to be tasted with the SmartWineGlass. In the year when the project’s 10th anniversary celebrations kick off, the Adegga team adds new features to the event and highlights a region and some of its reference wines: the Tejo Wine Region is the first region to be invited to the event.

The Adegga WineMarket is the only event where it is possible to buy all wines being tasted and in which visitors only have to choose what they want to have delivered at home: the “Tasting” ticket gives access to the 500 wines available for tasting, while the “Store” ticket allows the same experience with the possibility of transforming the entry free (EUR 40) into wines delivered to the address of your choice.

Tasting biological wines, amphora wines and rising wines
In the end of year edition, the event invests in the segmentation of experiences and presents Adegga Ânfora – a room dedicated to wines ageing or going through fermentation in clay amphoras or carvings – and Adegga Bio, highlighting the biological, biodynamic, sustainable and natural wines at the event. For the most curious, Adegga Rising Stars shows new projects and rising oenologists, having already confirmed the presence of Álvaro Martinho (Douro), Arribas Wine Company (Trás-os-Montes), Herdade da Anta de Cima (Alentejo), Hugo Mendes (Lisboa), Portugal Boutique Winery (Douro), Quinta do Olival da Murta (Lisboa), Rosa da Mata (Dão) and Titan of Douro (Douro) and Vale dos Ares (Monção e Melgaço).

Tejo is the first Region to be invited and takes on the Adegga Stage
For the first time, Adegga WineMarket invites a wine region to show some of its references in a special area within the event. Tejo wines invite 14 winemakers to present a selection of wines with different profiles. Two commented tastings – “White wines by Fernão Pires do Tejo” and “Three Terroirs of Tejo” – will take place at Palco Adegga, a new space created to give voice to the topics arising from the experience of the event.

Premium Room: rare wines served by sommeliers Ivo Peralta and Francisco Oliveira
In an event with wine from 5 to 50 euros, the Premium Room is the meeting point for the enthusiasts of rare and special wines, in an exclusive area with tastings of top of the range white and red wines, and old Port wine, Madeira wines and Setúbal Moscatel, served by sommeliers Ivo Peralta (Restaurant Epur) and Francisco Oliveira (Mundo do Vino), who will be available to answer any questions. An unforgettable experience taking place in a special area within the event, with restricted access for those who have booked in advance.

After 26 editions, the Adegga WineMarket has visited destinations such as Porto and the Algarve, has become international in Stockholm, Brussels and Berlin, but always returns to the place where everything started: Lisbon. In this edition, the event moves to Marvila to celebrate wine in one of the city’s most iconic neighbourhoods.
